Well…what’s more likely is, you won’t understand the multi-colored hieroglyphical political graph on the front page of today’s New York Times.
Really. Try it. Bring in your neighbor, that sleepy Egyptologist, and ask him to give it a go. You just can’t figure it out.
“Which States Cruz, Trump and Rubio Need to Win” the graph says. ( John Kasich, anyone?)
There are names, dates, numbers, shades, arrows, parenthetical explanations and circles encompassing circles.
(Maybe it was The Times Art Department that gave Art O. Sulzberger a Rube Goldberg-like business plan graph like this a couple years ago, which led him to that more-than-messy decision to fire Executive Editor Jill Abramson and hire his best bud Dean Baquet…that would explain a lot.)
